Who it's for

Three kinds of members, one collective.

Artists

Show your work in rooms people want to be in, meet the people who buy it, and get paid 80 percent of every sale, within two weeks of a show closing.

Curators

Help shape our shows. Our curation committees are drawn from the membership, and no formal curatorial resume is required.

Collectors

Learn how collecting actually works, meet the artists before you buy, and build a collection that means something to you.

Questions

The practical part.

Do I have to be an artist to join?

No. The Consortium is a collective for artists, curators and collectors. If you love art and want more of it in your life, you belong here.

Do I need to be a member to show in a Consortium exhibition?

No. Our open calls are open to everyone. Members hear about them first and receive discounts on ticketed events like the opening gala.

How do I pay?

Once your application is accepted we will send you a link to pay the $120 annual fee. Membership is billed once a year and runs by calendar year.

What is the member directory?

A listing of our members with a short bio, your website or Instagram, and what you make or collect. It helps curators and collectors find artists, and artists find each other.

Where are events held?

Around Washington, DC. Studios, homes, galleries and the occasional mansion. Locations go out to members by email.
